Hsi Lai Temple Rebrand
Brand Strategy | Identity Systems
let fall, body and mind
A visual rebrand of Hsi Lai Temple, a renowned Buddhist temple located in Southern California, designed to resonate with a new generation of spiritually curious minds. Rooted in Buddhist philosophy, the project draws inspiration from the cycle of life as described in traditional teachings, transforming ancient wisdom into contemporary visual language.
Through the thoughtful use of scripture, quotes from Buddha and respected monks, and a calming yet intriguing graphic system, the rebrand bridges the sacred and the modern. The result is a design experience that honors tradition while inviting fresh engagement and reflection.

Posters
Let fall, body and mind.
The poster series incorporates mantras and Buddhist scriptures to draw in the viewer appearing as abstract graphic elements from afar, but revealing deep meaning upon closer look.
Booklet
The teaching of the masters.
The booklet is designed for visitors to take with them. While the series explores a wide range of topics, the lack of a unified system makes the booklets feel visually inconsistent.
